Author's Notes
I've always hated Altered Perceptions. It was prompted by a challenge on the Alpha Gate list, but didn't come out quite like I expected. I was still new enough at writing to post it (it wasn't that much worse than what I'd been writing), but now I find it too embarrassing to endure.
So, I've rewritten it completely, keeping only the basic theme (fairy tale) and setting (Season 4 episode Beneath the Surface). I even gave it a new title (which I'm still not sure of and might change, if I can think of something better).
